I attended Dr Urairat for a year during 2007/8, with muscle pains and weakness. She had a nice manner and was friendly and approachable. However in the initial consultation she did not take a comprehensive medical history, and I feel she made assumptions about my symptoms which led to delay in diagnosing the underlying cause. To be fair, my case is not straightforward and other doctors may have done the same. She spent a long time with me on two occasions, performing nerve conduction studies, a rather painful procedure, but which because of her friendly manner she made sort of enjoyable. On the negative side, during several of my consultations she focused on one symptom (pain) and ignored my muscle weakness, which to me was more worrying, and her physical examination was somewhat cursory. She gave me some useful tips about exercise and rehabilitation, but as she never asked me much about my life I found it difficult to fit these into my lifestyle. I think she cared about my health a good deal, bit in the end didn't do a great deal to help me.
