Singapore has been trying to establish itself as a medical travel destination for awhile. It didn't seem to work out well though, as their own citizens are flying to Bangkok, or even as far as Taiwan, for lower-priced medical and dental care. Teeth whitening procedure costs $US 33 in Bangkok vs. $US 200 in Singpore. Several low-cost airlines offer a round-trip ticket for less than $US 100. So your total cost for a day trip to a Bangkok dentist is still less than $US 200. It's even bette economically r for more expensive procedures.
