We scout the internet for Thai doctors' profiles listed here. In addition to information on hospital websites, we cross-reference a doctor's name with several American medical licensing board authorities (e.g., The American Board of Pediatrics, The American Board of Internal Medicine, etc.) if that doctor is listed as certified by an American medical board entity. We found several instances where hospitals claiming their doctors are American board certified, however, upon independently checking with the board, we found no records of such doctors being certified.
We feel this extra verification is in order to provide accurate information to our users. We have not yet completed our verification. This process should be finished in a few days. Initially, we have listed around 1,900 doctor profiles from five largest private hospitals in Bangkok on our website. The number of doctors listed here will keep growing as we keep adding them to our system. If you cannot find your doctor on our site right now, we have probably not added him/her. Please note that at this time we have no plan to verify credentials of a small number of doctors whose profiles indicating to have been trained and/or certified in the UK, Germany, and Japan. On the user-review part of the site, we hope that our users will contribute honest and informative reviews to the community. This will eventually benefit everyone who seeks medical care in Thailand. At the same time we also want to be sure our reviews are as unbiased and fair to the doctors as possible. Thus, we employed a number of algorithms that prevent anyone from submitting excessive amount of both favorable and unfavorable reviews to our database. The suspicious reviews will be removed and the user submitting them will be permanently banned from our site.
